And no...you don't have to be a girl to join. This club is meant for both sex's. Anyroads, this club was originally founded by ~Kushinata, who was really bored and needed something new in her life.


How to Join:

1. You need at least 1 piece of anime art in your gallery, or know a bit about Anime. I will be checking! (but there are exceptions )

2. Send us a note with the subject as "JOIN."

3. Once you have been accepted, we will place you on our list. We only ask for you to place our icon up in your Journal or the Friends section on your profile.

I'm probably too much reflexive.
Sometimes one have to be brave to obtain a result.

Perseverance, someone would say stubbornness.

I'm much less self confident than I expose to other people

Calm reflexive friendly stubborn and suspicious.

What do you do for fun?
Programming graphic systems and sometines walk in the woods (relax).

About Anime/Manga:

What is your number favorite anime/manga?
Wow, difficult to say...probably it is Gunbuster.

Do you have a least favorite?
At the moment I cannot think nothing in particular.

If you could change one thing in a series of your choice, what would that be?
The final part of Evangelion, the first one is quite disappointing...and now the are too many versions

Which do you prefer: subs or dubs? Why?
Subs, more similar to the original than dubs (if you understand japanese a little).

Anime or manga?
Anime

About Art:

Why would you say you are an artist?
I'm quite distant from being a real artist.

What made you want to become one?
Difficult to say...probably I wanted to do physical form to my imagination as no one can see
an image you are thinking in your mind but everyone can see an image on paper or on a screen.

Where do you get inspiration from?
Real life for situations and poses, mostly anime I see for the characters
( It is so obvious )

What do you use to make your art?
Normal pencil to do sketches manually.
Lineart and coloring with a quite old Corel PhotoPaint 12.
Most work done using mouse (even if I have an old tablet).

Do you have any idols or people you look up to in the artistic world?
For different reasons :

Masamune Shirow for mistic and SF stories and incredible pictures
Akemi Takada for her sweet images
and Yuzo Takada for his stories about monsters (3x3 eyes is great for me)

Is there a piece in your gallery that has special meaning for you?

It's a picture done at least 12 years ago (I was in my twenties)
and it was a present for a girl.

How did you learn about devArt?
I found DA navigating in Internet, if you search images on Google DA is often
in the results

When and why did you join?
When - November 2008
Why - To know more artists and passionate people and even to give more esposure to my art.

What do you like most about devArt? Do you have any fond memories with the community?
DA is a great place for artist, very addictive.
We can meet a lot of people with similar interests and ability.

Is there anything about devArt that you don't like?
Page design changes a little too often.
The category system for picture is probably not flexible enough.

AoA now has a new staff member! Please be sure to welcome ~Konangirl to her new position. She'll be helping out with club submissions and organization.

Of course, if you're still interested in getting a staff position, more help is always welcome. Simply send a note to *barbaroshima for more details.

Art Submissions
Guess what? As members, you can send us your art to be previewed here at the club! It's really simple...Select a choice picture from your gallery and send us the link in a note. We then place your art in our gallery for the other members (and the world) to see, along with links to the piece in your gallery and to your account page. See, easy?
There are a few rules, though. First off, please place something along the lines of "art submission" or "submit" in the note's subject line. Also, only one entry per member per month. Basically, if you send us a piece on March 4, you'll have to wait till April 4 before you can send another submission.
Just remember, you don't have to send us your best piece or your most favorited. If you wanted to, you could send us the piece you hate the most. It doesn't matter!
